Album Order
The first step
With so many images, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Not to worry – that is why I am here to help! If you put together a list of your favorite images (selected and saved in a Favorites list in your online gallery), I will use those photos as a guide to get started. Your first proof will incorporate some or all of these images (depending on how the pages lay out and how many favorites you’ve selected), and I will do my best to select the best images to tell the overall story of your session or wedding day.
If it helps.. typically, a 20-page album can hold approx 150 images depending on the layout. But if you have more favorites than this that is no problem! I’ll choose the images that work best with the pages to tell your unique story.
** If you are purchasing an album outside of your wedding package, I will also need a retainer of $150 to get your first album proof started. If an album was included in your wedding package, you are all set to go! **
PROOFS
After I put the first proof together, I ask that you carefully review the layouts and images included, and provide me with any changes you would like to see for the next round. Additional proofs will be ready within 7 business days after changes are submitted, depending on the extensiveness of the changes. You are allowed up to 5 proof revisions with your custom album design. Any proof revisions beyond that will be charged a $50 fee/each additional proof. So be sure to be thorough in your changes in each proof!
Choosing the cover fabric and designs
Before completing your order, you’ll need to select a cover fabric. I can send PDF samples via email to review initially. And if you’d like to see any physical samples (recommended!), we can either meet in person or I can mail them to you if you live out of state. Once you've decided on the fabric, simply let me know which one you've decided upon (and if choosing from physical swatches, please be sure to mail the swatches back to me).
Approval & Payment
After your album is approved, I will send you a final invoice for the amount owed IF your album was not included in your wedding package, or if you have additional add-on pages or upgrades. Add-on upgrades include leather fabric ($60), text imprint ($60), additional pages ($15/page), etc. Any payment needed is due prior to me placing the order, and can be submitted to me in the form of check payment made out to Dawn M Gibson Photography. Orders are placed only once the layout has been approved and full payment has been received, so please be sure to keep this in mind if you're hoping for a tight turnaround of your album.
ALBUM DELIVERY
After your album is approved and ordered, production time for completion is 4-6 weeks. Albums MUST be picked up from me in person, unless you live 2+ hours away then drop shipping will be provided. Please keep in mind, there are holiday ordering deadlines in place that are out of my control and set by the manufacturer of the albums. So if you’re looking for an album in time for Christmas specifically, please keep in mind that the cut off date for ordering is mid-November (usually a week or two before Thanksgiving).
